Catalin Tudorache
Catalin is returning for his 9th year at ONEC. He is a certified Tennis Canada Coach, with over 20 years of coaching experience in Canada, Romania and Belgium. Moreover, he is a Certified Tennis Coach Level 2. To add, he is a Tennis Canada Pro Administrator Club Level 2 and he is on the United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR). Catalin has been working as a Tennis Professional at ONEC for the past 7 yrs.

Jean ("Johnny") Martin
Johnny is a Certified Club Pro 1 with over 12 years of experience coaching! Moreover, he is a member of the Tennis Professional Association. To add, he has been teaching at the Noble Tennis School, at the Ottawa Athletic Club, for the past 12 years. We are super excited that Johnny has decided to return to ONEC for his third season.

Jeremy Schneider
We welcome Jeremy Gibbons Schneider to the ONEC teaching staff. Jeremy is a former NCAA Division 1 tennis player. A top-tier player in Ottawa, Jeremy specializes in high performance and competitive training. He strongly believes that everyone can develop a love for the game of tennis by dedicating time to mastering the necessary skills. Jeremy takes a holistic approach to high performance development, considering mental, physiological, technical and tactical aspects. He tailors his coaching to accommodate the individual learning styles of his students.

Tait Becke
Tait Becke est entraîneur de haute performance depuis 2016. Il a commencé sa carrière à la Noble Tennis School sous la supervision de Carlo Zambri, Ben Etheeve-Meek et Tony Roth. Il a notamment dirigé les camps de développement de la Noble Tennis School. Tait a obtenu sa certification Master Class et détient également la certification Club Pro 1 de Tennis Canada.
En 2020, il s’est associé à Jeremy pour créer le programme Compound Tennis. Comme joueur, Tait a connu plusieurs succès, notamment en remportant la Triple Couronne de l’ONEC. En 2022, il a atteint sa première finale du tableau ouvert masculin à l’Elmdale Open. En 2023, Tait et Jeremy ont remporté le championnat municipal de la NCTA en double masculin.

Chrissy Houde
We welcome Chrissy as the newest member of the ONEC teaching staff. Chrissy will be leading our always popular day camps this season. She is a level 1 instructor with over 10 years experience. Past experiences include managing the Orleans Tennis Club. Chrissy currently works full time as a school teacher and is fully bilingual.
She looks forward to helping you hone your tennis skills.

Touring Program

Distance Program
Our ONEC Rowing distance program is for those who love the challenge of distance and endurance events. This program is led by our head Coach Norma Strachan.
Drills and Skills
Want to brush up and improve on your LTR skills? Join Drills & Skills for novice rowers starting June 11th, 7:00 to 8:30 am. Reserve your shell and come row with Bern & Jonathan.
Youth Rowing Camp
Summer day camps for youth ages 11-17 years old start in Jul & Aug. Kids learn rowing skills from Rowing Canada certified instructors in a fun and inclusive environment on the beautiful Ottawa river. Spots fill up fast - get yours now!
Masters Program
Join us for coached practices every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 6am (best time to be on the river) and work on developing your fitness and boat handling skills. We attend several head regattas each fall.
CSM & Special Events
Learn more about what we have on offer at ONEC Rowing, including our premier event - the annual Canadian Sculling Marathon. There's something for everyone from great tours, relays and the annual Jan erg challenge.
