Enjoy a Spring Treat at the Vanier Sugar Shack – Sunday March 10, 2024

The Sugar Shack is back after a five year hiatus.

Short History:

The Vanier Sugar Shack is the only operating Sugar Shack in an urban setting in North America. This maple syrup production tradition was established in Vanier by the White Fathers circa 1940.

Before, or after eating take a walk along the trails. There are interesting history boards detailing the Franco Ontarian history of the area. You can also see how the trees are tapped in this 17.5 acre sugar bush.

Come and enjoy the pancake menu: There is the Classic $18.00, The Urban $26.00 and for those with a hearty appetite The Lumberjack $36.00

Admission to the Sugar Shack is on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. The hours are from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (last serving 2:00 pm). There are no reservations.
