No experience in rowing required but a fondness of the water is recommended :)

We'll head out in our stable rowing boats that are ideal for learning the sport of Crew Rowing (we'll be rowing in Quads which have four rowers and 1 coxswain who helps to steer the boat). We'll travel along the beautiful Ottawa River past our historical boathouse, Capital landmarks and forested shoreline.

2SLGBTQQIA+ Coaching and 2SLGBTQQIA+ Ally Coxswains in a safe, inclusive and fun environment. All instructors are Safe Sport trained.

Safe Sport: Anyone involved in sport should be able to thrive and perform at their best without fear of abuse, neglect or other maltreatment.

All participants must wear appropriate clothing and be prepared to get wet. Everyone receiving rowing instruction must know how to swim and be in good physical shape. The minimum age to take this program is 50 years of age. For safety reasons, rowing coaches have the final decision on which rowers go out & under what circumstances. The minimum number of participants to run the program is four; maximum number is eight.
