See the Head of the Madawaska Regatta Package posted below the course map.
Know your course before your row! Study Google Maps. Study the course on your way up to the start and look out for hazards. Your coaches will also bring you details on the course following the Regatta Coaches Meeting.
I've put together this map to help. The most important part of this course is to know about the Caution Zone, made up of old bridge piers and the new bridge. You will be rowing with the current. Launch is at Burnstown beach (wet launch, meaning you get in and out of your boat just out from the beach).

Head of the Madawaska Regatta 2022
The Burnstown Rowing Club is hosting its 19th Annual Invitational Head of the Madawaska Regatta on September 11, 2022. The Boathouse address is 1537 Highway 508, (Calabogie Road at Burnstown Beach).
The format year this year remains the same as previous years. Registration is through REGATTA CENTRAL. Seat fees of $5.87 per race ($2.37 ORA + $3.50 RCA) can be paid through Regatta Central. The Regatta registration fee of $25 can be paid on Regatta day.
For same day race registration the seat fee will be $6. The $25 gives you a day at the Beach, good company, a great rowing venue and a buffet of coffee and nourishment as long as supplies last! There are no late entry fees but for ease of registration we would ask the team captain to complete rower RCA ID # and seat position in boat. It would be helpful if you email Bill Stevens(Bill-Stevens@bell.net) this information in advance. Rowers must have an RCA membership to participate in this regatta.
Coaches and rowers information at 8:00

This is a RCA sanctioned event, all events are open weight, there are no penalties for RCA rule violations but there is no passing within the old bridge pylons.
