This Thursday will be our final Time Trial of the season and just in time for Burnstown's Head of the Madawaska.

Head of the Madawaska Registration is now open and is now less than two weeks away. Seasoned rowers may go ahead and register on Regatta Central. If this will be your first time participating in a Head Race please send an Email via the group chat expressing your interest, preferred boat and preferred distance (1.5 km, 3 km or or 4.5 km).

Time Trials are a great opportunity to see what a Head Race would be like and to practice your race strategy.

The ONEC Time Trial is 4 kilometers in length. It is not a race, but you will be provided your time (so you can compare with your previous times this season to monitor your fitness goals).

You can plan to do the full 4 k (you will be given an official time)

You can plan to do a 3 k distance leaving from the marina (no time available)

The Time Trials use a running start, similar to Head Races where the umpire will call your boat towards the start line and start your time as you cross at race pace and proceed into the course. Boats are staggered to create a safe distance.
