Soon the sun will rise on another season and we’re looking for help on the paddling committee to make 2025 the best it can be! It’s been the same people since we launched kayaking in 2021 - need some new contributors as we build our community and try to get established like the other sports with longer standing. We don’t meet too often but get together in the spring to review, plan to improve and work out who can help with what (such as social, comms, fleet …). A fun chance to reconnect and share ideas so we’re ready to go with a great season once the weather allows. This just occurred to me: as the paddling/rowing season comes to a close, some of us have been chatting about the XC ski season.🎿 But…what about fall? 🍂🍁 Anyone interested in coordinating group hikes/nature walks to take in the fall colours?

I hope you've seen the info about the ONEC year end celebration dinner and dance at the boathouse on Oct 18th and that many will join?!

Many will likely jump on board closer to the time but we need a minimum number of tickets sold by tomorrow, Sunday Oct 6th, to guarantee our booking with Bytown Caterers (as the board needs to ensure we can at least break even on the event). So please book your tickets now!

I promise to be last on the dance floor Friday 18th and last at the paddling clean up party on Saturday Oct. 19th, where we'll fuel you with snacks and lunch for all. Who else will join John and me in the double double to celebrate this fab season?! See you there! Karen
