We received this message from ORC Thursday night. Just think of it as being good neighbours. I'm sure they will move the boats ASAP, but Friday morning may be a little tight.

Some of the ORC Juniors ran into unexpected and unforecasted rain and high winds yesterday as we crossed from Kettle island to ONEC. The conditions deteriorated so quickly that we had to shelter inside the River House.

Thankfully we got all the kids back to ORC safely in vehicles and they are all healthy. Unfortunately, we had to leave a double (1867) and quad (Fournier) in the boat bays at ONEC.

We will figure out a plan to get the boats back as soon as possible to reduce any impact on your programming.

The docks are back in place! We are good to row again. Many thanks to Mike and Patrick for their communication with the NCC to make this happen. Access via the east gate to swim docks. A club wide message is coming.

Mike Hardstaff explains in the message below why there will be NO ROWING WEDNESDAY, Oct 7. We have been assured the dock situation will be rectified by tomorrow afternoon but please wait for confirmation before attempting to access the docks.

"As part of the NCC River House wall restoration project, the contractor has temporarily removed the NCC dock located below the north west stairs which allow ONEC members to access to the ONEC docks. 

We are now working with the NCC to find a workable and safe solution to this issue as quickly as possible. In the meantime, all watersports members should refrain from attempting to get to the ONEC docks until this matter is resolved. We will advise you when access to the ONEC docks is restored"
