Calling paddling volunteers!
Reminder to join the end of season work party this Saturday Oct. 19th from 9:30am.
We'll get kayaks and canoes to the shore and wheel them up to the pavillion for cleaning and winter storage, and then celebrate over lunch. Please register via the paddling calendar so we can plan for numbers for food: https://www.onec.ca/paddling/paddling-calendar
I hope you've seen the info about the ONEC year end celebration dinner and dance at the boathouse on Oct 18th and that many will join?!
Many will likely jump on board closer to the time but we need a minimum number of tickets sold by tomorrow, Sunday Oct 6th, to guarantee our booking with Bytown Caterers (as the board needs to ensure we can at least break even on the event). So please book your tickets now!
I promise to be last on the dance floor Friday 18th and last at the paddling clean up party on Saturday Oct. 19th, where we'll fuel you with snacks and lunch for all. Who else will join John and me in the double double to celebrate this fab season?! See you there! Karen
So all summer I thought jet skis were my least favourite thing on the river…that all changed today, when I finally “met” the infamous Paula D.
Yes, over 70 people registered so the event is on! Further ticket sales extended until Sunday - final numbers go to the caterer Monday.
