Please join us at the Ottawa New Edinburgh Club's shoreline site on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. to help celebrate the life of Dave Martin and his many years of pleasure sailing, racing, and teaching sailing as a long time and valued member of SailRA and SailONEC.
During this get together, we will be launching the new ICLA Laser sailboat that ONEC has acquired to honour and remember Dave.
You will recall that Dave loved to sail and race Lasers out of the club's Ottawa New Edinburgh Boathouse. This new Laser was purchased by ONEC, in part, with donations received from Dave's many friends and fellow sailors.
After the boat launching, please feel free to stay with us for a while to enjoy some refreshments and to exchange your stories and memories of Dave.
Our waterfront site is situated at the bottom of the River House construction access road located directly across from Hillsdale Road and off the Sir George-Etienne Cartier Parkway. Since parking may be limited at the shoreline, you may prefer to park at Tennis Court Road and walk down to our shoreline site.
