ONEC presents the 2026 CSM
Since 2005, the rowing section of the Ottawa New Edinburgh Club (ONEC) has organized an annual endurance challenge using touring, coastal, and open water shells on the Ottawa River: the Canadian Sculling Marathon (CSM). Inspired by the world-renowned Canadian Ski Marathon, it stresses participation, fitness, endurance and fun!
The CSM offers a choice of a full marathon (42 km) or half marathon (21 km) distance with a circuit starting and finishing at or near the NCC River House and taking in some of the capital’s most famous landmarks. The 2026 marathon will be held on August 23. Early registration closes on June 15, and the final registration deadline is July 20.

ONEC présente le MCA 2026
Depuis 2005, la section d’aviron du Ottawa New Edinburgh Club (ONEC) organise un défi annuel d’endurance en utilisant des embarcations de randonnée, côtières et d’eau libre sur la rivière des Outaouais : le Marathon canadien d’aviron (MCA). Inspiré du célèbre Marathon canadien de ski, cet événement met l’accent sur la participation, la forme physique, l’endurance et le plaisir !
Le MCA offre le choix entre une distance de marathon complet (42 km) ou de demi-marathon (21 km), avec un parcours débutant et se terminant à la Maison riveraine de la CCN ou à proximité, tout en passant par certains des sites les plus emblématiques de la capitale. Le marathon de 2026 aura lieu le 23 août. Les inscriptions anticipées se terminent le 15 juin et la date limite d’inscription est le 20 juillet.

Hensler "Endurance" Trophy
The Hensler “Endurance” Trophy will be awarded to the club with the most participants who complete the full marathon within the allocated time. That Rowing Club will also receive a $2000 donation!
All participants who successfully complete the marathon within the prescribed time-frame will have their names and club affiliations engraved on the trophy.
