The main focus of this intermediate level kayaking clinic will be on teaching solo re-entry, to enable the paddler to get back into their kayak on their own (without needing assistance from another paddler in the event of a capsize). Some experience needed: recommended to have done an Intro Kayak clinic or a Basic course (to have completed an assisted re-entry). The clinic will go on to cover other intermediate strokes and skills depending on interest, time and conditions. Eligibility: Adults and accompanied children 12 years and older; No canoeing experience is necessary, but everyone is expected to paddle. Youths’ skills and experience are evaluated on the first day of camp, and an appropriate boat is chosen for them.
