Service Description

Experience the joy of paddling with our Senior Paddling to Wellness on the Water program, funded by the Government of Canada through the federal New Horizons for Seniors program. Designed for seniors aged 55 and over in Ottawa, this initiative offers free paddling opportunities while promoting physical health and community connection. Partnering with local organizations, we aim to create a welcoming environment for participants to enjoy the beauty of our waterfront while enhancing their well-being. No experience is necessary, as this Intro to Kayaking clinic will start with the basics, including getting in and out at the dock safely and reviewing basic paddling strokes. Clinic is free to Seniors (over 55 years old) - thanks to the generous support of the Government of Canada through the New Horizons for Seniors program Closed toe footwear is required i.e. no flip flops Bring a change of clothes - you will be getting wet Bring water PFD (Personal Flotation Device) provided
