2026 Weekly Snowshoeing Program Information
Program Basics: Geared towards beginner and intermediate snowshoers who would like to get out more often or explore new trails but don’t want to go alone, this program consists of six evenings of guided snowshoeing, each with a rest period dedicated to light social interaction.
Outings will include a campfire where possible and an end-of-season potluck social at Brown’s Cabin in Gatineau Park.
Where: Six different routes of approximately 4.0 to 7.0 kilometers within the very beautiful Collines-de-l’Outaouais region of Québec, mostly within Gatineau Park. If that distance seems like a lot, consider that an average snowshoeing pace is 3.0 to 4.5 km/hr and that most of these outings will take place on trails that have already been packed-down by other trail users.
When: 6:30pm on Thursday evenings,…
I’m thinking about coffee and skate on the canal fairly early tomorrow morning. Also, if anyone would like to ski with me at Nakkertok in the afternoon, let me know.
