Our Learn to Row program pricing includes your year one membership, so that you can continue to row with us all summer long!

Our Learn to Row pricing includes both your Rowing Canada Aviron and Row Ontario Fees - a $55 dollar value.

Our Program focusses on skill development and safety.  By the end of 10 sessions, new rowers should be able to safely navigate the Ottawa River in a single scull with 2 oars.  Participants will be part of a small group (max 5 in a class) and receive the guidance of highly skilled coaches.  You will receive:

  • Instruction on basic rowing skills, including how to safely launch and independently dock the boat

  • Safety instruction, including navigational patterns, when it is safe to row and what to do in an emergency

  • Tutorial on how to use the ONEC online boat booking system to book your own boat and connect with others to row safely

  • Row with us for the rest of the season!

$696 (early season) or $546 (mid season) + HST

Do you have previous sculling experience and are you anxious to get back on the water?  If you haven’t sculled for 2 years or more, either at ONEC or elsewhere, join ONEC with the Return to Rowing Program to participate in:

  • An assessment in a single scull,

  • An ONEC Rowing Orientation session which covers safety aspects that you will need to know

  • Plus up to 2 coached sessions during the month of June to bring your rowing skills back to a level to safely row on the Ottawa River

  • Row with us for the rest of the season!

$660 + HST

Three classes of 1.5 hours each.

In a small group of 4 people you will continue to develop your rowing skills, and acquire new knowledge to help you feel comfortable in a racing shell.  There will be a focus on body and boat movements with emphasis on good posture to prevent injury and help with boat balance.

The three sessions focus on developing your foundational boat handling and rowing skills covering the entry, drive, release and recovery.  You will be practicing in both racing singles and doubles.
There will be a strong focus on safety as it pertains to rowing in a racing shell along the Ottawa River.

At the end of the program you will be well acquainted with the ONEC racing shell fleet.  You will be placed with a rowing mentor who will continue to help you develop your skills until you are ready to take the skills assessment required to book the racing shells at ONEC.
