Friday AM rowers be aware of ORC boats on ONEC docks
We received this message from ORC Thursday night. Just think of it as being good neighbours. I'm sure they will move the boats ASAP, but Friday morning may be a little tight.
Hi there,
Some of the ORC Juniors ran into unexpected and unforecasted rain and high winds yesterday as we crossed from Kettle island to ONEC. The conditions deteriorated so quickly that we had to shelter inside the River House.
Thankfully we got all the kids back to ORC safely in vehicles and they are all healthy. Unfortunately, we had to leave a double (1867) and quad (Fournier) in the boat bays at ONEC.
We will figure out a plan to get the boats back as soon as possible to reduce any impact on your programming.

Glad their rowers are okay! ORC kindly permitted our CSM safety boat drivers use their washrooms, good neighbours indeed!
We took the Odawa out this AM. While we weren’t taking any boats out from the bays, I don’t recall noticing anything different in the east Bay when retrieving oars (none of my crew mates mentioned anything, either). Maybe ORC put their boats in the west Bay…🤷♀️
