Fall brings fewer daylight hours and cooler temps, but that doesn't mean we stop rowing! It does mean there are a few things to keep in mind

Fog can be almost as unpredictable as east winds! If you see fog on the water consider carefully if it is safe to launch.

A few tips...

• When in doubt don't go out

• If the fog seems to be rolling in or it is already foggy and you can't see the tip of Kettle, find a different activity.

• Wear bright colours and row with a buddy.

• If the fog comes in while you're on the water, stay close to your buddy and to the shore so that you keep your bearings.

• If it is very thick and you can safely get to shore, wait it out.
