Rowing disruption Thurs-Sun
Great news- the second bay deck is being installed. Bad news, we need to free up the required space for the contractors to begin deck installation on Thursday morning. This means....
The Wintech 21's (Kilmarnock, Edmonds, Long Island) will be derigged and stored in the shared rowing/paddling/sailing room and the remaining boats will be stored along East wall only to allow for contractors to move decks into the centre bay
- al least one of the T7's will be stored on docks out of the way.
All single scull reservations will be cancelled and blacked out on the boat reservation system on Thursday from 7:30am to 5:00pm and Friday from 6:00am to 5:00pm. If the work progresses quickly, They will reopen sooner.
The Wintech 21's (Kilmarnock, Edmonds, Long Island) will be blocked out on the reservation system until boats back on Sunday. We have a short list of willing volunteers to go down to the boathouse as soon as the contractors are out of the East bay, but the fallback plan is to have them rigged and brought downstairs during boats back.
As of now, it looks like the quads and the T7's will remain accessible throughout the process.
We will be monitoring the progress periodically and adjust if we're able to open things back up sooner.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but this is how we get our full fleet back!
Thanks @Christina Albers & @sherrydolan_ca & co. for your hard work Tetrising 🧮 🧩 boats back with so many moving parts (literally & figuratively!) to consider! Impressive how quickly things got done this AM! As for the “inconvenience”, no sweat: “at any given time, people are doing the best they can with the resources & information available.” ~M.L. 😎
