Dock traffic control hints
Hello everyone,
There is a lot of action on the rowing docks with many waves of boats launching. It is great to see our shells so well used. If the water level drops again we may not have the use of the docks east of the pillar for much longer.
Here are some tips to speed up the traffic flow on the dock.
1) Come down to the dock ready to launch. Get in the boat and get out on the water quickly.
2) When returning to the dock, move your shell down the dock to allow the shells coming in behind you space.
3) Take your shells out to rack it quickly. This will open the limited space for more shells to return or launch.
4) If someone has your boat booked directly after you return, I hope that person will be waiting on the dock to take the shell. If they are not, do not leave the boat on the dock for them. Rack the shell and the new person can bring it back down when they are ready.
5) If you feel confident to do so, you can launch and return to the wooden quad docks when the grey docks are full.
6) Make space for the kayaks too. We all share these docks.
