TENNIS Camps

About
Our Program

Beginner and Intermediate, Kids aged 7 to 16

Every camper learns stroke basics, game strategy, footwork, sportsmanship and receives an ONEC day camp tshirt. The camp is run in a safe and structured environment by responsible and mature tennis instructors. â€‹ONEC’s day camps are a great way to get your child interested in tennis or to build on the skills they already possess. Campers are assessed on the first day and grouped according to level of play.

Our
Counsellors

Our ONEC Camp Counsellors are often ONEC camp graduates themselves and are very familiar with the Ottawa River and its safety requirements.  They are also trained in their individual sports, ensuring we are providing high quality instruction in a friendly, accepting atmosphere. ONEC is looking to hire Instructors for its community Youth Camp programming. We are one of the oldest boating clubs in Canada dating back to 1883.  Our vision is to be the best and friendliest non-profit, volunteer, and community-based recreation and training summer sports club in Ottawa.  Our Instructors receive competitive salaries and a full ONEC membership! We are an equal opportunity employer. We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities. We will work with you to accommodate your needs in line with the goals of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Ontario Human Rights Code. Apply at onec.ca/summer-camp-jobs

Our
Facilities

ONEC’s central hub is the Club Pavilion, which is located on Tennis Crescent, south of the parkway. Rowing campers are dropped off at the "Tennis Circle" on Tennis Crescent, next to the parking lot. The Club Pavilion and Boathouse washrooms with showers inside. The Pavilion has a small canteen for lunchtime treats. Outside is a grassy yard with picnic tables. Wrapping around the pavilion are the tennis courts, and across the road is the beautiful boathouse where sailing kayaking and rowing camps take place.
